Jill is a certified Victory Gardner (through the UC Master Gardener Program) and has been growing food since she was a kid. That’s a lot of tomatoes! Veggie gardens are her passion and are only considered a success if they both taste and look impeccable. We craft our custom raised boxes to look like garden sculptures. From seasonal planting plans, to organic soil, to homemade compost and insider tricks for pests and critters, your veggie garden is in no better hands than with The Farmista.
Landscape Design & Garden Consultations
With a bachelor’s degree in Art History, and 20 years of design experience, Jill approaches each project as a personalized living work of art. It’s extremely important to know the individual preferences and garden dreams of each client to bring their vision to life. Every detail is considered from the texture and size of leaves to the blooming schedule of certain shrubs. We are available to design an entire front or back yard or to simply consult with you for a few hours to answer landscape questions.
Fruit Tree Planting & Pruning
Caring for edible trees is an art form both in terms of aesthetics and quality fruit production. We are well versed on all kinds of fruit tree care from citrus to avocados to stone fruits. Every variety has its own requirements and we are experts in all of them. Whether you have a couple of potted citrus or an entire orchard, let Farmista do the work for you so you can sit back and enjoy the harvest.
Sod & Gravel
Sod & gravel installation may not be the first thing you think of when it comes to organic gardening. However we do those jobs too! Often times a client hires us to do a veggie garden and is so happy with our work and customer service, they ask if we can upgrade their lawn or add gravel to a walkway or other accent area. The answer is: yes!
